argus-announce is a moderated mailing list that is used to distribute announcements about ARGUS, the network Audit Record Generation and Utilization System.

Subscribing to argus-announce

Subscribe to argus-announce by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the members list is available only to the list administrator.

In the form you must supply a password. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will be emailed back to you in cleartext, once a month.

There are two Argus mailing lists, one to send announcements regarding changes to argus, availability of new software, mirror sites and the like, and the other to do the business of developing argus software.

The Argus Archives can be found at https://pairlist1.pair.net/pipermail/argus/. The interface is pretty unsophisticated, as we are using the pipermail module of Mailman v2... hopefully with an update to Mailman v3, in the near future, we will have a better approach with HyperKitty ... If you have any suggestions, please do send your comments to the list.
